Step Aside Revlon Lipsticks, I’ve Got a New Fave……..Rimmel London Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss

Rimmel 3

Ever since I got into wearing lipsticks last semester I’ve been wanting to try the Rimmel London lipsticks by Kate Moss but the colors are really vibrant and I wasn’t sure if they would be too bright for me to pull off. Seriously I think I put one in my online shopping cart literally every week and then I chicken out before making the purchase. Today while taking a walk through the neighborhood I stopped into walgreens to find that all the rimmel kate lipsticks were on sale for 3.79!!! It was too cheap to not pass up(though I did spend a really long time in there just deciding which shade I wanted most). I finally decided to get shade # 12.As soon as I got into the house I took it out of the bag,  and rushed to the nearest mirror . Once I put it on I was in shock. This lipstick color is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s pretty much a coral color, which you all know is a favorite of mine. Not only is the color great for my skin tone but the formula of the lipstick is really great. The lipstick has a matte finish but still feels creamy as you apply it onto the lips unlike some of my other matte lipsticks. This is definitely my new favorite. I think I’ll have to go pick up some other shades tomorrow otherwise I’ll just be wearing this one every single day! Have any of you tried out these lipsticks? If so, what shades are your favorite?

Samantha

Simple Tasty Recipes: Kale Tortilla Pizza

Camera 360

download (3) I was craving my favorite spinach pizza from Amy’s  but I try to steer away from purchasing processed/ frozen foods. So I  came up with this recipe from the ingredients that are staples in my kitchen. I was a bit hesitant but in the end it came out just as I had hoped.

Ingredients:

  • Tortillas
  • Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • Kale
  • Mozzarella
  • Parmesan
  • Garlic Clove
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Sea Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • Basil

Directions: Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. In a food processor or blender combine kale, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, cherry tomatoes, basil, a pinch of sea salt, and honey( I use about 1/4 cup for the main ingredients ,1 garlic clove, and 1/2 teaspoon of sea  salt and honey). If you want it a bit spicy you can also add some red pepper flakes.Mix until you get a thick paste.Spread  crushed tomatoes on a tortilla.Spread the rest of the ingredients on the tortilla.Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes

So that’s it. The pizza turned out really well and the prep time was very short as you’re mostly just throwing everything in the food processor. Hopefully, you all will try this recipe and enjoy it as much as I have.

xoxo, Samantha

My Makeup Routine

I’ve no plans today since the weather is pretty bad,  but while lying around in my PJ’s and watching Netflix I had the sudden desire to play around with my makeup. Since I’m home today and not rushing  I figured why not take some photos and show you guys what I do on days when I want to look a little less blah,  and more vibrant. It’s definitely not a flawless makeup look as I like my skin to still look and feel like skin.

Image   Foundation:

I mix L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation (Nut Brown/ Cocoa) with

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream (Deep) since the loreal foundation is a few shades to dark for my skin

Concealer:

Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer (Deep 2)

Black Radiance Concealer Stick( Dark)

Highlight+Contour:

Mac Blush(Raizin)

Milani Baked Blush(Bellisimo Bronze)

The Liebster Award:My Responses

liebsterblogaward1

I’m so happy to be finally getting around to doing The Liebster Award post I have Ria of That Looks Great to thank because she was so kind to nominate me . For those who don’t know, The Liebster Award is one that recognizes new bloggers. Once nominated they answer the questions they were given , then they pass the Award along by nominating other new bloggers and creating a new set of questions for them. I am not sure who started this but I think it’s such a great idea.  I couldn’t find enough bloggers who weren’t already nominated to choose for this post, but I still wanted to participate so I’ll just be answering the questions.

Here are my answers to the questions i was asked:

1.Do you wear a watch? If so, what kind?

I currently do not wear or own a watch, but I’ve recently added these to my wishlist. I just love how classic and simple they are.

Image

1.Fossil Women’s Mini Archival Watch $80

2.Timex Easy Reader Watch $30

2.Do you honestly feel comfortable wearing red lipstick?

I absolutely love wearing red lipstick even with casual outfits. My favorite red lipstick is Revlon’s  Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade Really Red.

3.What one product for your hair do you love the most?

Leave in Conditioners. I don’t have a specific favorite because my hair is a totally different texture since I cut it in the summer so I’m still experimenting and learning what works with it but these are some of the ones I’ve been using lately:

Image

1. Beautiful Curls Curl Activating Shea Butter Leave – in Conditioner

 2. Kinky Curly Knot Today

3. Hawaiian Silky 14-in-1 Miracle Worker

4. Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioning Repair Cream

4. Do you pay any attention to “use by” dates on the stuff in your fridge?

Yes. I’m extremely paranoid about those things so much that I  throw things out a few days before the date.

5.What is better, summer or winter?

Summer ! I just love everything about it the sun, the late nights out with friends, cute dresses, days at the beach, and most of all my little campers.

6.Are you allergic to anything?

Just pollen

7.Which celebrity would you elope with tomorrow?

Arjun Kapoor

8.Do you think you’ll still be blogging when you’re 40?

Oh gosh I honestly can’t say. I don’t even know what I’ll be doing with my life a year from now.

9.Do you prefer your hair up or down?

Hmm, well this is my current hair . It’s short and it grows upward so even though its “down” in the sense that it’s not tied up into a bun or something its still technically up haha.

10.How long does it take you to get ready after a shower?

It depends. It can range from 5 minutes to 2 hours or more based on where I’m going, who I’ll see there, etc.

11.What’s your all time favorite mascara?

It’s constantly changing. I can’t say I have a all time fave but I do have a current fave. Right now my go to mascara is Maybelline Full N Soft.

That concludes the Liebster Award post. I hope you all enjoyed reading my responses. Thanks!
